Imaging Supervisor

The Imaging Supervisor provides leadership and direction for all imaging operations, including X-ray, MRI, and C-arm fluoroscopy services within the Orthopedic Institute. Reporting to the Director of Clinical Operations, this role ensures safe, accurate, and efficient diagnostic imaging that supports high-quality orthopedic care. The Imaging Manager oversees imaging staff, manages workflow and scheduling, ensures regulatory compliance, and promotes excellence in patient experience, image quality, and operational performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leadership & Staff Support: Provide daily leadership, scheduling, and supervision for all imaging staff, including X-ray, MRI, and C-arm technologists.

  • Clinical Operations & Workflow Oversight: Oversee day-to-day operations for all imaging modalities, ensuring smooth workflow and minimal patient delays.

  • Quality, Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with all regulations (ACR, ARRT, OSHA, HIPAA, and radiation safety standards).

  • Education & Training: Assist with onboarding, orientation, and competency assessment for new clinical team members.

  • Equipment & Technology Management: Oversee operation and maintenance of X-ray, MRI, and C-arm units to ensure consistent performance and safety.

  • Patient Experience & Collaboration: Promote a professional, compassionate, and safe imaging experience for all patients.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current ARRT certification in Radiography (R) required.
  • Minimum 5 years of diagnostic imaging experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory, team lead or management role.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology or related field required.
  • In-depth knowledge of orthopedic imaging protocols, radiation safety, and advanced modalities including MRI and C-arm.
  • Ability to multitask and lead effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining high clinical and patient-care standards.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of clinical operations and documentation standards.
  • Proficiency with EMR and scheduling systems; experience with Paylocity or similar platforms a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, leadership, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and develop staff; strong delegation, coaching, and team-building capabilities.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, process improvement, and audit skills.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining collaborative relationships across departments.
